It is not easy to understand what has happened in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya in recent times, and, above all, how the situation will evolve. According to some observers it was hard to envisage these people’s desire to revolt, while others instead believe that there were some signs in the air. This last hypothesis is supported also by Francesca Corrao, a professor of Arab Language and Literature at the LUISS University and an expert on Arab culture, providing us with an interpretation for understanding the reasons behind these uprisings, the perspective between Islam and democracy, the Muslim Brotherhood and the role played by the international community.
