Alberto Saravalle is a senior member of the Executive Committee of BonelliErede. He served as Managing Partner for two terms (2007–2013).
During his career, Alberto has worked in New York and Paris and advised the Italian government on international and financial legal matters. Currently, he is Counsel to the Minister for European Affairs.
Alberto is also a professor of European Union law and teaches a course on the Eurozone crisis at the University of Padua. He was a visiting scholar at Yale Law School earlier in his career. He recently wrote, together with Carlo Stagnaro, Contro il sovranismo economico (Rizzoli, 2020). Forthcoming is An introduction to the law of Economic and Monetary Union (Edward Elgar, 2021). He has authored numerous academic articles and essays on his areas of expertise, as well as op-eds in The Wall Street Journal, Le Monde, Il Corriere della Sera, Repubblica – Affari&Finanza and Il Sole 24 Ore, and regular posts in The Huffington Post Italy.
